I think this may have fixed it. I have set it to come on in half hour so will see if it does.

Do you know how to make longer or shorter ramp times?

I am using the AB+ template in auto but was trying to work out how to customize it a bit. I'd like to have the ramp a bit longer with less peak period. Or is that preset the recommended photoperiod for AB+? I've never used AB+ so not sure if that is exactly what it should be or if it's just the spectrum and not the correct photoperiod. Seems a bit long at full intensity.

I mean with the whites at their peak it's 6hrs, so maybe this preset would be fine? It's 10hr total so extra 4hrs of only blues.

I have an A8 Pro Max II.
Using it with AIPAI Ver 2.3.8 App its working well for me.
I am not having any of the issues others have posted here.
How do you like it? How much was it including shipping?

So far the whole time issue for me doesnt seem to be a problem. When I logged into the app it asked if I wanted to change to current time and it changed it and seem to stay. I had no idea how to make a program so i just picked one it already had and edited from there to my fitting. I havnt actually set a program yet i still need to mount it on the tank. I bought the mounting arm but the weight I dont trust it on the glass. So I am going to just hang it

You just have to do the graph you want.
Color % one by one and hrs by hrs.
When ready "save customers " add a name.
They will be save on your list.

Don't forget to "save device" before exit the app.

Yeh will have a play around with it. Was mainly just wondering how I could edit the AB+ to have a longer ramp time

Change hrs and %
1000007414.jpg

The back and go move the graph (hrs) left/right
Out/in sketchy thing... lol kind of a copy paste...
Center blue dot... ramp up(right) or down(left) the % in the same "spectre" proportion.

Yeh I see what you're saying.

Going off your picture here, I was thinking if it's possible to delete the dot points at 14:00. That way the ramp up wouldn't be as steep if you get what I mean. But I think you have to have a setting on every hour.

I think the only way around it is to split the ramp sort of like you have to more of a step up rather than a continuous ramp. If that makes sense. I guess you could put a dot half way up on the 14hr mark. Similar to your down ramp.

i finally got the light up its the newer A8se II Blue. I am using the bracket I bought with it but decided to use a chunk of the acrylic I used making my sump to add support on the back for the tank. I just felt it seemed heavy for the tank. It has 6mm glass but I feel better adding another 3mm support

So it added to wifi easy and added to the app super easy.
Also it auto selected my time zone and seems to have held it on power off.
Setting the program was a little confusing at first. I couldnt figure how to do anything from scratch so I just picked AB+ and edited the whole thing for what i want.
The one thing I was having issues with while setting up each time it does not update super fast on the settings you are changing and changing from hour by hour. So it takes a bit for you to see what setting you changed. I would make some changes and it didnt change or looked nothing like I was expecting and then it caught up. So you cant go super fast.
Olive color reminds be of the cyan color on the G5 radion and the one blue ch has some blues and the skybule color all together. Photo was when I was still earning it but Blue1 is Skyblue and a few other blues mixed in.
Also I really like that you can set the spectrum you want and it has an intensity slider like the AI and ecotech lights

I also dont like I had to setup every hour instead of just start of my full intensity till the end and not have to wrry about the points in between. Not a huge deal but would make it easier.
So far like works well, its quiet, app isnt all that bad just a little cumbersome. Glad I got it. Right now its over my 20g IM fusion but I am upgrading to a 50breeder as soon as the tank comes in. So. will be using this light plus my 2 21" blade grows on the 50g

Can't delete a point (hrs)
You have to change % manualy to make the steep.

I like the light.
I’m in Southern Cali. UTC -8, and I haven’t encountered any of the issues others have mentioned. The light turns on and off exactly as scheduled and retains the programmed settings. I am running the AB+ but modified.

When I first received it, I applied thermal compound as a precaution. I currently use it at 30% intensity for my soft corals, and it provides more than enough light for my needs. The total cost, including shipping to my address, was $309 for the light and the X kit.

Just got my A8SE II Max yesterday. Once the first scan took place in Hong Kong it was at my doorstep in one day! But I could not get it to connect to my 2.4g network. It would just say connection failed over and over again. Then I remembered reading that the network password cannot have any special characters. I changed it to alphanumeric characters only and it connected right away! Of course now I have to update the password on all my smart plugs around the house. I'll mess with the light settings once I get it hung over my tank.

well next morning after setting up the light and lights are coming on at proper times so I guess i setup properly.
Does anyone have any idea what the Moon button does.

Nothing, it's for other lights that have a moon channel that use the same app.

Thanks for the reply. I’m considering buying but a little nervous about purchasing and connecting to my home WiFi.

Are there any instructions for programming this light? I've got it connected, but I don't understand how to set time periods. I turn on the timing slider, select 0700-1900, and hit "save device." It says successful, but then the light output drops to zero, and the graph/colors remain unchanged. I also have no idea where "save customer" is saving to.
