I know Aus has high prices but how is the A8 pro that much more. I can order it of aliexpress for $330.

Are tarriffs effecting the price of this light? I'm seeing a price increase the seller that has the most sales to $300+ but others on aliexpress have not increased their prices.

WOW I ordered my 2nd light last week from the same vendor as my first and paid $209 for the light. I just looked at the vendor and now the a8se II blue is $346. Glad I got my order in last week

No way!!!! Last time I checked prices was back in Nov, the weekend after Thanksgiving. I'm not ready to purchase lighting for my new 150g tank which has been sitting in a crate since Dec. I guess I better order soon. The problem I have is that I know nothing about LED lighting. I started reefing back in 1995 with T5 and I'm still using that.

i searched on ali and there are still a few vendors selling the A8se MAX II and Blue for 200ish with free shipping

the DMP pumps have not changed in price.

Did you order with the tank arm mount? I am thinking or ordering with the tank arm mount as that is the only option for my setup. However from the picture, I can't be sure if the area where it clamps to the tank is strong enough. Do you think other arm mount, such as rhe Noopspyche k7 would be compatible?

my first light i ordered with the arm but didnt use it and hung the lights so i have it just sitting in the garage.
it is all made of metal but i didnt use it because I was using it first on a IM 20 fusion and it has 6mm glass and the light was pretty heavy and I didnt want that much weight on thinner glass.

I just went to AliExpress. The vendors are listing A8se II New Version $380 and then there are other A8se II that don't say New Version for $243. Is there a difference in the lights?

Prices are much better on Alibaba. I still see the a8se max under $200 shipped

I have 3 A8 Pro II Blue lights being delivered today. With mounts and after fees it was $1,126.34 ordered on March 18th.

Was there a video somewhere in this thread showing how to add thermal paste or where to add it?

Looks like our exchange rate compared to the AU dollar is roughly about the price @JonoH is quoting. It’s about $1.50 AU to every $1 American. So our $280 light is about $440 AU then they have VAT on top of it.

Yep...bring back a few years ago when the exchange rate was on parity! Bought heaps of gear from the US then!

To me it brings them to close in cost to the Ecotech's, and no longer really a cheap LED option as they are more than other known brands like the Orphek's.

Do you think the new tarriffs will be collected at duties import instead of time of purchase?

edit: I just saw something about this on reddit aliexpress about import duty "de mimimis" rule will be 30% or $25 per item, whichever is higher starting on May 2nd. So if you're thinking about buyin the A8SE, perhaps buy it soon so it make it through customs before May 2nd :)
