Finally!
once and for all!

I was too lazy to calculate everything. I found a faster way.
with gpt and these concentrations coming from tropic marin
(@Hans-Werner)
and BRS Concentration in All for reef.
+
BRS :
Specifications (per 500 mL)

Carbonate Hardness Concentration: 2,800 dKH
Calcium Concentration: 20,000 mg Ca
Magnesium Concentration: 950 mg Mg

1ml of AFR in 55 us gallons.

I hope GPT didn't make a calculation error.

I'm not following what you are trying to do. Are you trying to give the AI a test?

For the alk part...

6000dkh in 1000ml
6dkh in 1ml
6/208L = 0.0288 dkh

Calcium
43000ppm in 1000ml
43ppm in 1ml
43/208L= 0.21ppm

Correcte ?

Even if it his for 500ml ?
X2 lol... meh...it's pretty close.

Those are misleading to both humans and ChatGPT, and we’re also changed since that was written.

First, those numbers are per 500 mL, not a liter. To get a per L value they should be doubled.

Second, the 2800 dKH is inappropriately specified per volume when dKH is already per volume. AFR is 6,000 dKH whether it is one mL, one liter, or a whole ocean of it.

No. It is 6,000 dKH at all volumes.

People gotta stop using Chat GPT
My kids are terrible about this. They make arguments with me with information they get from AI. I try to explain to them that AI is just pulling data from across any and all websites it crawls, whether it is correct information or not is for you to research and decipher.

Yes.

1 mL of AFR in 208 L of water will, after metabolism, boost alk by 6,000 x 1/208,000 =0.0288

Same, ok thk :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

It’s just not actually correct to say AFR is 6 dKH in 1 mL. :)
