Has anyone else noticed that all for reef is crusting up the dosing lines? It seems air makes it harden and ultimately clog the dosing lines for me.

I've been using it close to a year and mine only crusts up on the end of the hose. Some people set up the ato so water rinses the end of the tube. I just reach in and rub the tubing between my index finger and thumb once a day and it's not a problem.

same as above it clogs the end of the line, I found out when my alk dropped to 6.7 once lol . Now I make a point to pinch it once a week.

So does this mean its likely to clog the line when one is away on 2 weeks holiday?

I clean mine once every couple of months. There is crust, but not clogged

I dose 12 times throughout the day, and I've noticed that has reduced the amount that crystallizes on the end of the tube. Not really an issue for me any more.

Put the end of the dosing line under water. If you have a decent dosing pump it won't siphon

You’ve done this without it clogging from calcium carbonate precipitation?

I’d caution with this approach that it may not always work out.

Some folks put in a t and run top off fresh water out the same tube.
