Some red finally appeared in mine.

Fingers crossed it continues!

Wow, congrats! How long did it take?

I got it just after new years so almost exactly 8 months. Strangely there was no red at all two weeks ago.

Only things I changed since then were a nutrient spike due to forgetting to turn down my auto feeder after coming back from a trip, and adding a couple of acros nearby.

Update: Initial pic of my frag is in this thread, here’s a little update/question. Is this the colouration that you’d want? This was an all green frag and I’m seeing a little pink on one side and the top. The whole crown of the frag was green a couple weeks ago.

Excuse the dirty sand bed lol more nass nails needed.

I’m seeing signs of life from this stunted splice that I had since January. What do you think? Some red starting or am I seeing things? lol

Since my last post I moved this frag into higher light & flow. Has gotten some red and started to send a shoot! Pretty slow for 5 months of growth, no? Started as a freshly glued stick.

This one is a tough one for me. A nub sat and just encrusted for over a year at about 250-300 par with good flow. It had decent color and PE so I was afraid to touch it, but I had enough and moved it p higher to about 400 par…well a couple of months and it showing growth …Finally!!

I have had an all green for about 6-8 months. It has finally started to shoot out some new branches but no signs of red.

I can’t get a great pic because my frag is kind of deep in the tank but when I looked closely at some zoomed in pics I noticed some spots in the newer growth that look promising

It’s pretty cool to look thru this thread and see how many people are having success

I saw a speck of red and posted it a while back in this thread. Soooo shortly after I decided to do some cut and pasting to redistribute the colour. No shoots yet but I’m super happy with where we are! Here’s a pic of how it started all green.

This coral finally woke up and started growing. I can see some more red on the body and polyps. Eventually as it grows I’ll likely have to frag a part with a better mix of colors. Pretty cool to see it develop colors from little green boogers initially.
