Hello,

I have a LifeGard 24g AIO with a sponge, a bag of small bio ceramic blocks, and some carbon-filled plastic balls. It is running on an ApexEL controller.

I would like to upgrade (both as a means of improving my water but also as a means of learning more about water mgmt):

A) Upgrade my built-in sump to include some nano-sized devices (or at least something small enough to fit in my AIO sump).

OR

B) Create a sump out of my extra 10g hooded glass enclosure and drill holes into my glass AIO

What would be your list of upgrades in order of priority, or do I have it about right?

  1. mini Skimmer in AIO
  2. mini Refuge in AIO
  3. mini carbon reactor in AIO
  4. build-your-own sump in a 10g with bigger versions of everything

I would say B for the stability
