Well now I have to rewatch the David Tenant years! Best Doctor.
And I would agree - he's my fave, but I recently watched all the Matt Smith ones and the Amy/Rory/Melody(River) storyline is epic. I enjoyed the Clara/11 storyline too.

So, I knew the tank that housed the cyphastrea boulder ("mount cyphastrea"?) had some unusual bristle worms which I believe are fire worms but can't be sure. They're the gross ones that are wide and flat... Anyway, I removed a bunch from another piece of rock (encrusting coral) before adding it to the new tank ("the TARDIS"? no, too cheesey) last night, but later I saw one creeping out from mount c. Going to try a trap tonight.

I have zero problem with regular bristleworms but these others creep me out!

The fat ones in this pic are what I'm referring to...
(So gross!! They make me want to gag, lol!)

Lots of progress today -- got more rock from my 90 cleaned up and moved to the new tank (still finding tons of brittle stars!). Moved the 3 chromis and the 2 blennies as well. Fish are so much easier to catch when they're sleeping!! Lol!

Attempted to change out the return pump but ran into a problem with the plumbing so hooked the 5.0 back up.

My 90 after i was done this evening -- sorry, lights were already out.

Most of the coral is still in the tank since I really wanted to clean up the rocks with no/minimal coral first.

Added a few fish from the old display tank last night.
Foxface, yt, 2 clowns, and the pj cardinal. Caught the mandarin too but decided to put it back (they all went into an acclimation container) since I'm not sure of the pod situation in the new tank yet. Added a couple bottles from @Dinkins Aquatic Gardens this week, but still figure I'll keep Mandy where she is until the last minute.

I am still pulling out Micro Brittles out of the washed sand bucket. I would have to say, out of the 6g tank at least a few hundred... Hopefully I can at least get the water and chiller going in the RS170 this weekend. You are going a lot faster than me... I am too beat from my job when I get home during the week to do more than maintain my other tanks.

Trust me, I'm only going "fast" because I've been trying to get this done for months! I need to get the 90 down so I can finish my floors, lol!!

Plus, I took Wednesday and half of yesterday off just to work on the tank ;)

Almost all the rock from the 90 is now in the new tank as are almost all the fish... But I still need to scape! Lol! Since there's not much vertical space, it's not going to be as big of a deal as it sounds (moving rocks around with fish in the tank). I do need to remove some of the sand though.

Most of the coral is still in the 90, along with the pistol shrimp, two ywm gobies, and the mandarin.

I'm exhausted and going to bed!

Goodnight everyone :)

One last thing.
I've been surprised that I found zero bristle worms in my 90 gallon... until tonight. That's a quarter in the dish o_O

Last one is a close up... Fireworm?

Nope. Normal bristle worm.

I have not sifted through the sand in the 90 yet, just found whatever was right under the rocks and inside them... but I used to have a lot of BWs... thinking my 6 line is responsible for their disappearance? (Or that giant one ate them all!! Lol!)

There could still be some worms in your rock. But it likely is the wrasse eating them. I’m thinking of getting a yellow coris wrasse. If I do I’ll have to breed bristle worms in a separate tank.
