Many of us order in pods or algae or any other assortment of things to add to our tanks, and some of them come in these nifty little plastic jars. I've already found a half dozen uses for these jars from temporarily housing small fish to watering windowsill plants. Primarily they're critter-safe, so I've kept a couple to use for miscellaneous aquarium needs. Most recently I kept a small piece of red gracilaria hayi inside for a few weeks that magically found its way into a bag of hermit crabs from the LFS to see if it was clear of pests.

What do you use these jars for, if anything? Reusing these sorts of things is a very small way we can help reduce the amount that go into the landfills. I'm curious about what innovative uses others might find for them.

I ship nems and torches in these. Safest way I've found to keep them from touching air and not smashing themselves against plastic bag sides in shipping.

Clever. I like that.

I think I might start a phyto culture in a couple of these jars myself.
