My PO4 is about 0.7ppm in my 100g tank. I added about 400gr in a TLF reactor with a decent flow and after an hour it went down to 0.4 and 4 h later it was still the same. Did I saturate the Beads?

Sounds like it’s spent.
 
I plan to exhaust the PO4 in my tank and reach below 0.1 ppm. I got the Aluminom oxide by mistake. I understand that it has much lower PO4 adsorbance than Ferric oxide. I assume that the warning to be careful lowering it too fast is not that relevant, considering that there is a lot of phosphate bound to the surface of the rocks. It is claimed that aluminum oxide leaches Al ions into the water column. For that, I will use an old TLF Metasorb that I still have.

I think the warning is still relevant.

Corals seem to hate changing phosphate levels and can react with bleaching or tissue necrosis. Overdosing adsorbers will cause a sharp decline in phosphate levels which will then slowly bounce back as more bound phosphates redissolve. I would take my time and rather be safe than sorry.
 
I agree that going fast in phosphate lower is not desirable and often is much worse than any negative effect the high phosphate is causing. I would not just replace it all for another go. I’d use much less each future replacement.
 
I totally agree, but my view is that I have a high bioload, including heavily fed fish, and all my rocks by now are saturated with adsorbed phosphate. The reason I want to do it fast is that GFO also depletes other elements that I do not want to be depleted during long-term use.
