I’d use the ammonia kit on some new salt water to gauge if it is working. Assuming it is, time is the cure, without new organisms additions.

I doubt corals are responding to the ammonia, but it is possible. Fish are more sensitive. It is often very hard to diagnose coral issues.

I changed the lighting schedule to the deadlights 10hr api file to run on my ai prime which was turned down to 84% acclimation for 7 days but it seems after changing the schedule it all went to hell

I’ve tested the ammonia kit on my tap water, my rodi water with 0ppm ammonia showing I’ve tested fresh salt mix and it shows slight green 0.25-.050ppm I use io reef crystals

There may be ammonia from the dead fish, or maybe other issues. I personally would do nothing but add the Chemipure and observe for a few days. You might consider an ammonia binder (I’m not a fan of Prime).

The fish died a few weeks ago I’ve done multiple larger water changes in the past week example I did an 80% wc last Thursday then another 80% wc Wednesday of this week

What was the percentage change? I always ran my acclimation for a minimum of 21 days. Depending on the intensity change. Read up on leather toxicity.

It is also worth mentioning that you have made quite a few changes in a short period of time. This only leads to frustration. Always look to the last things that you did to the tank. There has been good advice on this thread, especially regarding ammonia and it is what you still choose to focus on. It is almost certainly not the issue to worry about.

This was what I had before switching to deadlights

It appears that you went from 50% to 84% in 7 days? My guess is that the Acans received way too much light too fast. They don’t need/like HIGH light.

That’s 84% reduction vs what ai does default at 50% reduction

I agree and regret all the drastic changes that happened way to fast I won’t deny I messed up there

I’m skeptical that ammonia is actually concerning high, which is why I’m not more focussed on that.

@Chucky , for what it’s worth I would normally question lighting, heating, flow and salinity first but considering you have another tank running without a problem I’m assuming you’ve got those things nailed down. I don’t suppose your Cyano has gas pockets trapped in it ?
Update I took some pics last night around 9pm and this morning at 3am of the algea still not sure what it is tbh

A typo for high. lol

Update: ammonia has came down too .50 via api test nitrites appear to have went up too .50 via api test and nitrates are 50 plus via api test I checked these yesterday and shortly after I added a bag of Fluval bio max media, bag of chemi pure blue and some rubble rock into middle chamber
