Tried to get sch 80 parts but my local shop didn’t have all the pieces so I had to grab these. Going to test this out and see how it does in the pump cave here…

Today I cleaned both skimmers, swapped out the carbon and GFO in the reactors and started to dial in the Kalk reactor.

I’ll have to dive the tank in the next few days… I have corals that need to be moved and I have to get that big pump in.

I did get the controller for the big Panta Rhei ECM 75 Hydro Wizard pump mounted and ready to go.

I installed a 1-1/2” bulkhead in the top of the Kalk reactor to easily top it off with Kalk without having to remove the lid:

Set up and logged in the Kamoer dosing pump for the Kalk Reactor. Need a few more plumbing parts to get this going…

Also got the feed pump for the sulfur denitrator dialed in so all I need is the compression fitting for the top to return the water back to the sump. It also feeds the CaRx.

Great day reefing and watching some playoff football in between fun tank projects…

Dang you got a lot done! Were you rooting for anyone In particular? Personally I’m mad about the jaguars because I’m a titans fan
Just some life long 49ers fans over here (my wife) my Broncos were out of the race a long time ago!! LOL!!

Family, Food, Fish, Football some of my favorite “F’s” all happen down stairs in our home!! (Everything is always better when the Reef System is rocking!!) :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Are those tile samples next to the tank?
Yes they are…
You can't sleep much I assume?
Too much fun dialing in the system!! LOL
Every time I see those on the ledge, I think to myself, "when is he going to make a decision and finish that part?"
Truth be told… I put the cart before the horse by moving the livestock into the show tank without the proper filtration equipment in play to support them… (kind of had to so I could rearrange the sumps I had to cover the one I paid for that wasn’t built)

I’ve been playing catch up on the water quality/filtration part of the mix… and I’m getting really close.

Once the water is dialed in and the SPS are growing I’ll finish up the rest of the basement.

I basically made the outside of the tank look “presentable” so the family feels like it is livable while I’ve been working on filtration. LOL

I’ll get on the finish work soon but want to do that once the filtration is keeping up with the livestock… :winking-face:
