On the 12-13th of this month I’m getting a visit from my longest standing fish buddy (my brother Travis) to help remodel the temporary filtration that has been set up over the last year. We will move the buckhorn bins around to their long term locations, prepare for the second tank and hopefully (it’s been a year since I paid for them) get the remaining parts and set up the skimmer, CaRx, UV and some other gear from aquarium engineering. It’s about to get real fun around here!

Agree with you as well. I always have preferred to make the best utilization of my return flow and minimize my dependence on powerheads. Cheaper to over size your return pump and diversify that flow then to drop a few thousand in extra power heads. Love your system and fish selection!

So my brother Travis is in town ready to help with the filtration remodel... here is his 10’ tank for your viewing pleasure:

We are still in need of the final remaining pieces from Aquarium Engineering... it’s been a challenge to get the right stuff that I ordered over a year ago. :-(

Will you keep it mostly fish only or going to delve into sps ?
It will be a mixed reef with sps on top, LPS mid tank and some softies and low light stuff down low... I’ll use it as a spillover from the sps focused second tank I am building next above the bins
