looks great Dave. how are your nutrients now that you’ve made the modifications and reactors?
Thanks ;), I'll test this week.

Can't get a constant feed rate from that manifold to the sulfur reactor so it's been a little out of wack. Ordered a Kamoer FX-STP WiFi Peristaltic Continuous Duty Dosing Pump to dial it in better.

I hope to see some benefits here soon.

Here are the results from my last tests 1/15/24:

Ph - 8.19apx

Co2 - 555 (been working all evening in the room)

Po4 - 1

Nitrate - 60

Salt - 33.5apx/1.0255 TM float

Ca - 500

Alk - 8.9

Mg - 1490

Temp - 76.9apx/ 77 CM

Kalk Doser - 35 ml/min

Phosphate is 1.0ppm?!
Yes, I’m not proud of that :astonished-face:

Dosed some lanthanum chloride in the past but ended up losing some fish.

Still looking for a better economical option than GFO to help reduce phosphate…

Corals still doing good but I’m sure could be better with lower po4!

Did some fragging of some corals for my friend Chris G that were stinging or shading others… just want to let stuff grow but in this case it was a win win :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes::

-Couple heads of hammer that were stinging a monti cap and a chalice

-Hollywood stunner shading a maze brain coral frag

-Octospawn stinging the top of the Acropora Florida

-Mystic monti and Jason Fox snow cap shading a pocillopora

And a few others… excited to see how the corals adjust…

how often do you have to worry about fragging?
I try not to, just let nature take it's course until now... I'll frag when I need to save a coral I like better...

The tank is now in a place where most colonies are touching or shading the ones next to them:

Last night when I got home I found half of my giant hammer colony on one of the front rock columns on the floor of the tank... one of these big monster fish hit it and busted it in half... this is another time I have frags...LOL

How are you liking the Ecoxotic Cannons now that they have been running for a while now? Your corals certainly seem to like them.
I'm considering a few for my next build. My tank will be shallow, only 16" tall, but I want to mount the lights close to 5 feet above the water line and still need around 400 PAR mid tank for my anemones. Not sure if they will do this.
What are your thoughts? Did you do PAR measurements?
Thanks for any input you have time to give!

You might also consider the Orphek Amazonas.

I love the Ecoxotic Cannons, wish I had 4 more (blue ones)... ;)

They have a great punch!! I have corals up top that get so much light and I have some SPS 8' deep down at the bottom that are living just fine. I have not done any PAR readings in my tank yet (I need a long cord on that par meter).

They would work great for this, so would the Orphek Amazonas... IMHO.

Thank you very much for this information and for the photos! They really are working well in your big slice of the sea! These have been added to my list to consider! Have a great day!

Happy to help! Good luck... keep us posted!!

If money wasn't a factor I really like the Orphek Amazonas... Think Andrew Sandler is testing these now...

I still like what I'm getting from the Ecoxotic Cannons... No complaints at all... :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:
