Thanks for the kind words Blain! Definitely taking a different approach with this reef.

Stand is skinned and ready for some decorative trim and maybe some small touch up. Good thing for that Porter-Cable router tool. Going to add that tomorrow then put an order in for some doors. Thinking on going with two on the front and one on each side with european style hinges for easy on and off when cleaning. Hopefully to give it a nice paint job this week too!

Decorative trim I'll be using around the top. I will also clean the corners up with trim to give it more of a clean look.

As with the Radium I would hang it about 10"-12" What reflector are you using?

I'll be using a Hamilton reflector.

Great line of reflectors! I think you should be good running the Radium 10"12" above the water.

Ok, so just finished a first coat of "desert coral" color. Not crazy about it at all. Wife likes it but will have to wait till it drys. I told her if I can't get used to it I'm going with a lighter more conservative color. Maybe colonial white or maybe even the "key lime pie" color that I went with when I painted the stand for the Reef Savvy. A few nail holes I missed with putty I need to get too.
