Anemone damage. Need quick response

Hey yall. Woke up to find my anemone climbed through a tiny slot in the overflow/intake and shredded himself pretty good. Foot damage. Lost about a fifth of him during salvage attempt. Should I remove him completely? Can he be saved or no?

it looks ok to me, it is self-adhering which is a great sign. I'd leave him alone for now, but be prepared with a breeder box if he needs to be isolated. Did it get stuck in a pump intake, or the overflow to your filter/sump?

I wouldn't say he is a goner yet. Put it in a colander type of container and attach the container to an area at the surface that's not intensely illuminated.
Hobbyist literally chop BTA to make clones and they regenerate and do fine.
You could also move to a small quarantine tank with flow and a heater and treat with Cipro.

Neither really. There is a small oriface in the wall that does have a bit of suction with water movement. He found it and traveled through. During removal a chunk tore off , got himself in there pretty deep and I wasn’t sure how to safely get him out. Lost maybe a fifth to a sixth of his overall size

Is the nem a new addition? Also is the tank mature? Usually when they start wandering is because they are not happy with the system be it lightning, flow,etc. The only time mine moved was when they got so large there wasn't room on the shared rock so one would relocated but never up on the glass.

I had seen BTA go down the overflow and ended up as 4-6 smaller anemones.
Leave him alone, keep some of the larger fragments also. This one will recover, some of the larger pieces may recover and become new clones also.

Mature enough tank. Two bottles of pods worth been running since first week of october last year. He’d been happy in the same place since I bought him with minimal movement. Rarely does he move, i’ll come home and think crap where he is maybe once every 4 weeks. The remaining bit opens up. I worry since i work 24 hr shifts and don’t have time to monitor him on shift days.

Yes. Theres a small hole in the overflow box that he just happened to find his way too. Tank params are good. Just got a test done today, slightly low on nutrients but other wise nothing remarkable. He self adhered back onto the rocks and moved about an inch so he is active. Bit of a scare. Still on watch

The only major change was the introduction of a random flow generator. Tank has been up since late october of last year.

My CSB BTA got its tentacles ripped off in the QT tank filter. Should I reduce the light? Running the xr30 gen4 on 100% for each color and intensity is at 40-50. Also any experience how fast a nem recovers if let’s say parameters are all good?

Mine decided to fly around today before I got to the tank to move it over to the MD tank.
Sadly she was a big 4-5” CSB!

Also medicate with cipro? Or just keep tank clean? And food wise anything?
