Anemone Health Check

Hi all, I’ve had this anemone for 5 months now. And it has never opened up. Long story short, my refractometer wasn’t calibrated and I was at 30 PPT for 3 months.

Been 1 month since I corrected and the anemone has stayed the same. It gulps down shrimp pieces when I feed it and is firmly attached to the rock. Is there anything I can do to help ?

The parameters are stable and haven’t changed much over the last month. Test every 3 days once. I’ve been using GFO to reduce phosphate. Started at 0.5 and now reduced to 0.2.

Is there anything I can do help it ? I was told that it has lost all tentacles and those are new ones growing, not sure how true that is.

I’m not an anemone expert by any means but perhaps it’s too bright in the tank? Looks like it’s trying to avoid light by hiding in the shade. What lights and intensity you running?

Hi, it’s Illumagic Blaze Mini. I run lights for 12 hours, 4 hours are at 30% whites, blues and purple. 6 hours at 120% blue, 100% purple and 10% whites and 2 hours at 80% blue, 60% purple.

Off hand, the shrunken tentacles imply a lack of nutrition. My first thought is slightly higher nitrates, and regular feeding, at least twice a week but never more often than every 48 hours.

It will take a few months for the tentacles to grow back, but plenty of nutrients will help speed up the process.
