Im sorry it seems harsh. I think most of us are trying to stop you from making the same mistakes that we personally have already made in the past. We dont want you to lose livestock and the enthusiasm you have for the hobby.

I understand that, but how long has this person had saltwater tanks and how long has this specific tank been running?

I think she set it up a few months ago but I am not completely sure. But I know she has been doing allot of research about saltwater. She is very committed.

If she doesnt have any, I would suggest an LPS coral like an acan or frogspawn frag to test out her tank first to see if its ready first. I personally dont do soft corals but she can try a leather or mushrooms as well.

Is she using rodi at least because she should have told you about that initially. I dont really know how close you are but i expect very if you are looking to pay 260 for an anemone for her

Great remember to have her she tds of the water and monitor the di resin if it is color changing (RODI stuff). Those are all frags you can find cheap and all pretty. At least see how they do for a month and then maybe an anemone as they are usually harder to keep.

Just to make sure, did she start her tank with rodi? If she just switched over I would advise waiting on the corals

Sounds like her tank is new as we'll, not established. Soft corals are much more tolerant in a new tank than BTAs are.
How are your clowns and BTA doing?
