Can someone help me I don't know why my RBTAs are looking bad but my sunburst nem is looking normal. I do have some bristle worms like majority of reefers on here parameters are good to go. I also feed them once a week some brine shrimp marinated with phyto but still they dont puff up and its been a while since. My tank is almost 1 year old and all my corals are growing (Acros, Acans, Leathers, GSP, Zoas, Goni, Monti and torches) Still they look rough. I aso do 10 -20% water changes every week just so the parameters stay consistent with nutrients. I also have 3 AI Primes running with whites and blues.

Parameters

Alkalinity: 8.1
Calcium: 586
Magnesium: 1230
Phosphates: 0.10
Ph: 8.3

Probably fighting unusual for the sunbursts to win though
Well before I had the sunburst they looked like this. I have tried to keeop parameters better than before but I have not seen any change in the Nems puffing up.

They actually still look healthy, just probably not as "puffy" as you'd like. No one knows why they extend their tentacles versus bubbling them, or why they're thicker or thinner. You could try feeding them less and see what happens (sometimes people think tentacle length is due to a feeding response).

HOW MUCH DOES A FISH’S FEEDING REQUIREMENTS AFFECT YOUR STOCKING DECISIONS?

  • Not much. I’m willing to adjust my routine

  • Not at all. Feeding demands don’t limit my stocking choices

  • I usually learn about the demanding feeding schedule after buying the fish!
