Seems to have settled in nicely now. It was larger than i expected. Def seems like a malu to me.

@bradleym thanks for the help. If you hadnt said anything i probably would not have realized i didnt get the anemone i ordered the first time.

Im having trouble with the green anemone. I cant get it to settle. It is now detatched again. Could it be too much light? I have it in about 200 par now.

Im starting to think it might be the clowns stressing the anemones. They always look good during the day but when eavning comes they both get stressed, and i have seen one of the anemones clearly retracting when a clown starts nibbling on it, which it always does close to night time.

Well they look better now, so far. What i think happened was a number of things.

I think increased the light too fast, from about 120 par to 200 par in like a week. The flow was too turbulent for the purple nem, i changed it so its more gentle. I was in the tank with my hands a lot which stressed the clowns and made them stress the nems.

Oh and my male clown hates me now i think, he keeps biting the glass if i get too close. 😅

Small world. I was about to order the first nem your bought a few weeks ago. But someone got it before I did. Hello sir. 😂
I did buy a yellow malu though, and just ordered a H.magnifica. Having trouble with my malu attatching also. I think it's due to my clown is loving it to hard, so it doens't have time to get fully attached.

Haha sorry. 😅 If its the same yellow nem as mine it burrowed into a very low flow area with decent light (about 120 par).

The green/brown nem is still not attatched. I did move it to a spot to a bit more flow as i realized It was getting very little. I think they need decent flow but it needs to be gentle. No tentacles moving seemed to be too little. But im just guessing. I wont move it more now and will slowly increase light and hope for the best.

My clown loved it to death. It never attached, she was on it like a fly on crap. A few days ago it seems the nem just stoped trying, shrivled up and melted over 24h.

My magnifica has arrived and is still kicking though. It has me worried with deflating every day though, as I've read isn't a good sign.

How are your nems doing? Pics! :)

Aw, thats too bad. Magnificas are awesome but need high light and may need supplemental feedings in the beggining ime.

Mine are doing well so far i think. The purple one has stayed put. Green one i still dont know if it has attatched but it stays in the same spot. I decided to let it be. Yellow moved and attatched on the front glass.

Bad news, i couldnt get any of the nems to thrive and i dont know why. They were in such bad shape i took them out. I give up with nems for now honestly, i have too much else going on anyway. All the corals are doing well.

It's cool to see your clown took to the big one so quickly, and I also don't think the yellow one is dead.
