I bought this as a “LTA”. Can anyone help me with a more specific identification? My Ocellaris clowns don’t care about it but the anemone crab loves it!

Oh it’s a cool nem for sure! It’s huge!! This is the 4th home it’s made in the tank. *shurg*

nems love to move haha, i was lucky mine found its spot in a couple days of putting it in, it did however make me rearrange my tank as it literally tried to squish itself between rocks lol

it looks kinda like long tentacle carpet anemone
or sand anemone
but im not sure

Your anemone and crab pair looks gorgeous.

The anemone is a Macrodactyla doreensis, also known as corkscrew anemone or redfoot/redbased anemone. These stripy variants are sometimes called peppermint stick lta.

Macrodactylas are my absolute favourite anemones and fortunately the Polymnus I keep also loves them.
