Dr. Tims didn’t work for me (or I didn’t wait long enough) but I added turbostart and it cycled in a few days. I need to update my build thread, but my tank is doing awesome! Photos below.

So happy to hear that you got your tank cycled and it’s doing well. From the pics everything seems to be happy. BTW nice job on the aquascape. Oh one more thing....when you added Turbostart after your original Dr. Tim’s bacteria so you see any weird effects in adding a second different bacteria? Also did you go through any ugly phase?

thanks! I was worried the aquascape would be to busy, but the fish love swimming though it all!

I didn’t see any issues adding turbostart. I also ended up adding microbacter7 also a few weeks back. I feel like the more the merrier (not scientific) . The strongest will win out. I had a very short ugly stage, maybe a day or two, but I am also running a huge UV.

if I had to do it again, I would start with turbostart.
