It’s been about a month and a half since I noticed my Kryptonite Candy Cane starting to split (added to the tank on 2/14/2025), and it’s now clearly dividing into three separate heads.

From what I understand, the full splitting process can take around 6–10 weeks, depending on tank conditions. Since I’m already at the 6-week mark and seeing solid progress, I’m guessing I’m just a couple weeks away from fully formed heads.

I’ve been keeping stable parameters and giving it good light and flow. No target feeding yet, but I might start to encourage faster growth. Super exciting to watch this coral thrive—any tips to help it along?

If they’re splitting, then all is well, no need to help it along.

For target feeding, I like using benepets reef or LPS pellets.

Good luck, I love candy canes!
