Hey my fellow reefers. I had a question. My fish keep seeing the side glass as a mirror reflection and keep attacking it. I tried to put a piece of wood outside the glass to block the reflection and nothing.. I tried an all black panel with the same results. I don't want my fish to stress out any way to resolve this? Thank you.

Is that side of the glass next to a white wall? That may be why they’re seeing their reflection.
As for how to stop it, can you try to cover the glass panel from inside the tank?

No its next to a brown bookshelf which houses my turtle and his tank shines down with the basking light the turtle tank is higher than the SW ..maybe that's the reason???

How long has that been going on? My foxfaces always do that in a new tank but its fades after a couple days.
For the longest. But the glass was always kinda dirty so only the puffer and coral beauty would do it. I decided to clean the walls today and then they all started

They are a few months in but never did it until I cleaned the glass today
I would let algae grow over that one side (Assuming you don’t view that side). I leave algae to grow over the side of my glass that is against a wall and can cause a reflection. This seems to create a barrier which seems to get rid of reflections on that panel of glass.

That's actually the one side I do look at. I cant see the other side lol but I will have to sacrifice for the better. Thank you for the advice <3

They seem to be calming down now. Only the clown is occasionally do it. Maybe I can get them used to clean glass lol
