Beautiful set.
Thanks! Hopefully all my guests will want to play with the ebony pieces! I'll get to move first and play my king's gambit. Plus they probably won't be able to fully wield the power of the ebony!

Very cool....I play on a set we picked up at Target that also comes with checkers lol.
i didn't understand until I actually held an ebony piece in my hand. It's like a ring of power. I swear it makes me play better!

I can believe it lol. My 13 year old daughter has gotten into playing chess and wants a better set....she isn't happy with the plastic pieces.

My father had a Crystal glass set which he had hand made by Daum in France while working there a few years ago, worth an absolute fortune until my mother accidently fell on it and it tumbled to the floor breaking alot of the pieces. I've not played chess in a long time so now i've got no reef tanks to look after I might think about playing again.

Check out House of Staunton. They have a set made from mammoth ivory. My wife said those pieces were WAY out of my price range. lol
