Well, I just found out a little about why there's a float-switch.
The reactor works on a Co2 sensor and I think you can call that a Carbon Monoxide censor.
If the Co'2 gets to high it will shut down the supply of Co2, the float switch is a secondary shut off is the sensor fails.
I guess that will make sense.
Dave from UC will shoot me a call tomorrow to confirm my findings here.

Hmm. I think might need to see more pictures and maybe a video.

What model are you planning on getting? I'm very tempted by their smallest model. Do all the models include the same features and bells and whistles as the one Jake just wrote about (except c02 tank)? Very exciting!

Thinking about the DaStaCo XtremA Model A-2 or A-3.
I will go with a 2olb Co2 cylinder as I have one now and I'm not even half way and it's running for almost two years now.
The GEO618 will move to the frag tanks.
Just have to build myself a regulator.

You'll be very happy with this setup

Regardless of what that one fella posted about a peristaltic pump being overkill, my guess would be that he's never used one lol. Trust me, it makes all the difference in the world! All the control and ability to dial things in of 2 part dosing, but with the foundation and trace element dosing of a calcium reactor. Much safer than 2 part dosing as well.

Can't wait Geo should be shipping out today.

My understanding is that you set this reactor based on what Alk you want the tank to be. How does the calcium reactor know the alkalinity?

I have had a MTC for my last two tanks and I love it. Here is a vid I did on the unit.

Why did I just get all warm inside looking at this video. [emoji15]That has to be the sexiest calcium reactor video I've seen to date.. [emoji7][emoji7][emoji7][emoji13][emoji23][emoji23]

Thanks for sharing

Wow, those DaStaCo are expensive. I have justified if there is a absolute need for it with my spouse.

Questions about the PH probe calibration? Are we suppose to use a different solution to calibrate then Probe? I have 7.0 fluid and 10.0 fluid I believe.

Need 4 and 7

Generally you want to calibrate within the range you will be monitoring

hey Deisel, you have got to do a thread on this badd boy when you get it, the two chambers are only connected by line of tubing so i imagine they don't have set right next to each other, running out of space in my little fish room
