I want to upgrade my lighting on my standard 125g. I really want one light so I’m looking at either the reef breeders meridian 63 or the Ati straton flex 153. Has anybody used or using either of these lights. Tank is mostly LPs. But I want to get some SPS also

You absolutely cannot go wrong with the reefbreeders meridian.

I’ve been looking at the same. Did you decide?

The ATI looks nicer to me but my concern has been the whiter look many describe, and some concern they maybe discontinuing the Straton line.

Care to elaborate as to why?
Very well reviewed light. Pictures look great. Probably one of the best value per dollar in reefing lights amongst the higher end brands. OP is apparently going a mostly LPS/softy tank so probably doesn’t tend the crazy par output of the ATI Straton X (eg, according to ATI, 1800 par at the water surface when mounted at 8 inches).

Did you ever decide on a light?

Interesting. I actually picked up 3 of the Meridan 11's at black Friday - but haven't installed them yet. I have mostly SPS and want high PAR. Time will tell what they crank out. I figure I can always sell them and probably break even considering what i paid for them during the black Friday deal.

The ATI Straton has caught my eye. I don't see how the Flex being more narrow would get the same spread and the Straton Pro, but it seems like that is not even available any longer anyway - the Flex, or the up coming X being the only options I think are available.

OP, how high will you be mounting these? Seems to me the Meridians are best with higher mounting than the ATI. I'll be needing to use the Wide lens since I'll only be about 8" off the water. I'll be curious what you decode and look forward to hearing what you have to say about them once you get whatever you get.

The ATI Straton X are already out here in the US. Early reviews here:
