I got a frag of this exactly 2 months ago. According to tidal gardens, they last about 6-12 months in captivity. Wondering if anyone is having luck with these. Mine has grown some new heads and I can’t wait to see this thing thriving and huge.

I’ve had mine about a month. Debating which tank to put it in for its final spot.
Oh nice! Yours has some good stretching. Here’s a more recent pic of mine.

I have about 5 I think along with alveopora as well, and you may have read on that other thread, they are in different flow locations and it makes a big difference to growth. Not to strong but like a medium flow seems best for mine anyway.

I think it depends we’re they came from as far as survival. I didn’t have much look to start, and then my LFS said the ones I have now, I think we’re cultured (fragged I guess) and they are all fine and I’ve had them several years.

Not my picture, but this is the one I got from JF 6th Anniversary Live Sale on 2017.

I use to feed it Reef Roid a lot, but that might be the reason to my high P04. Overall, it is doing good. It has grown very little due to tank moves, and tank fluctuating. However, it does extend its polyps nice when it wants and I had no issues whatsoever. I can take a picture tomorrow and post if you would like.

I purchased a small frag in March 2018. I was worried they may die and they were too beautiful to chance with just one. So I bought two more.
Here is the original size.

This pic was taken about a week ago. You can see the other two pink Gonis next to it. 20190727_080228.jpg

Here is one I got in Jan of this year from ASD. I have several in my tank but this pink one rocks. The tentacles are so long it’s awesome. Red seems to love the light more.

I have a frag and won’t extend much at all had it about 4 months
I have one too that dosnt seem to extend much. Today on lro live sale someone said that some have short tentacles and some have long! Someone else said flower pot corals are the gonis that grow like a bush and dont extend much! I just starting moving mine a few weeks ago and no matter where I move it it dosnt extend much while my 2 other do, so I guess I have a flowerpot or a short tentacle type. Or one in the same!

Not sure, lol. it's in an area where the current swirls gently so I'm assuming it's getting a good amount of food and thus is very happy.
