No, two complete separate systems. The small tank is an Innovative Marine Nuvo Black 30 gallon that I drilled and it runs through a small DIY sump with an Icecap skimmer. Yesterday I installed an ATI dimmable sunpower T-5 over it. The big tank is a Planet Aquariums 200 gallon, you can see the sump on that one. It has the Aquaticlife hybid with 3 AI Primes that I had from the previous system.
Very cool!Guess i am the master of taking pics without the doors being done. This is our bar on the opposite side of the room from the tank setup.

That turned out well.Here’s another project I am just about done with. It’s been in the works a while but I’m happy it’s down to just finishing touches. I need go hang one more light and buy a few door knobs. I didn’t realize how different it was until I saw my before picture.

I have a lot of house projects in my future. They are long overdue. Hoping to move into the kitchen soon.Jeff, that bedroom set is absolutely beautiful. I've never heard of Sapele before, but will definitely check my hardwood guy next time I'm in. Most of my work has been in oak.
And Kevin @kschweer , what you're doing is one of the reasons my woodworking/furniture building has been reduced to a minimum......house projects!!!
And @Dual40IM , your bar project reminded my of my most recent build.....a pallet bar....this past summer. What was great about this build was that all the wood was free (across the street neighbor received a swing set/play set, and I got the eight foot pallet), and my wife wanted it as rustic as possible, so no carefully picking boards, sanding or fancy finishing.

I eat saw dust for a living doing custom woodwork and fine carpentry and everybody thinks my house must be amazing but the last thing I want to do when I’m not in the shop or out on a job is work on my home. And having two little kids it’s hard to make dust until one in the morning like I use to, which is why I set up my fish tank. Thinking as a family we can all enjoy something together but now I find myself playing in saltwater until one in the morning once everyone is asleep. As for woodworking if it’s made of wood I can build it or sure try and if it wasn’t for having a tree house as a kid and my high school shop teacher I don’t think I’d be where I am today. Here’s a sample of one of the many things I build with wood.
