Anyone enjoy woodworking?

Do I enjoy woodworking? Depends on how I feel and whether it is forced work or not. :) I get hot and cold with woodworking but love a beautifully done piece of wood! Yes, I do enjoy building stuff...have built lots of stuff over the years but most of it is rough. Was pretty happy with the fireplace mantle I built a few years ago. Was NOT happy trying to build a box using finger joints a couple months ago. Got so frustrated with it I never finished it. I will try again at some point but for now I need to do something else. :)

Got some more interior work done.

That box is VERY cool. I have an old box my grandfather built when he got back from WWII that he kept is tube transistors in....yeah it is that old. There were even a couple old transistors in it! I keep looking for something I can use it for...music box was not one of them. :) Seriously it is fairly thin walled to do much with it, so it will sit while I think of something lightweight it can handle.

Wow some serious talent here. I have been getting into more and more woodworking but mostly relating to the house renovation I'm in the middle of. I did build this train table for my son for Christmas which turned out pretty well:

Very nice!

Wow, just went through every page here, lots of beautiful woodwork!
I'm a Contractor and I do a lot of different things but I primarily enjoy and focus on finish work.
It's nice to see some serious talent in areas that I'd like to step up my game!

Lot of talented people on here. Here’s a few pieces of mine.

Ah...the old Brio trains. Many memories there. I still have a huge box of them for the potential of grandchildren down the road...lol. Table came out great!

I like the metal “lagging” panels. I’ve been thinking of incorporating some of this look into my home remodel.

Here’s more pictures of some of the stuff I do. I build a lot of furniture too but I enjoy working on stairs and ceilings. Someone mentioned steam bending so here’s what I do with it when not bending moldings. And I saw a rattle so I thought I’d share the ones I make 93B0A8A6-F519-4E24-9457-885BDE0E881F.jpeg E7401D18-0A80-41AA-AB1A-AFCB50B7B5DF.jpeg 0178AB0B-5646-4992-9457-332BBE5C215B.png 1475E7D3-BB8C-4CD8-9CDB-53E86929406C.png 6A65D89C-1424-4A20-8875-821DEB5AC3EE.png 8ECC5B68-0218-4E43-A415-146BEDB65483.png
