Wow. Y'all are a talented group. I enjoy seeing the interesting things you do with upcycled wood and metal.

This was wood from a pallet that I found next to a dumpster. I aged it and painted it to look old.

Finally got around to knocking out the wall that separated kitchen and living room, and made the kitchen cabinetry match the aquarium.
I was playing around with different door options and inserts to see if the wife liked anything better.

Nice job on crown, especially not having a lid to shoot to, and dental moulding is always a challenge.

I replaced our old cedar deck this summer and I saved what cedar was still usable for something. Last month, I finally got around to finding a use for it.

Just a couple pieces that I've done so far; with many more to make.

We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and trying to do a little wood working ourselves because mom wanted a $7,000 countertop (quartz) instead of a cheaper countertop and completely new cabinets. So we are painting them and doing a reface.

I also built the Brooklyn Bridge. It wasn't much wood so I don't know if it counts. I was stronger and had more time then.



OK, maybe not, but I did build the top floor in my house from the door up. The back is raised to encompass 3 bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom. Of course I also installed the heat, electric, water and solar panels. It took me 2 years after work on weekends. :D

Thanks. Ive made ~50 of those end grain cutting boards. Its paid for a nice shop- jointer, planer, sawstop table saw, mini lathe, etc. A nice hobby :).

latest project out of laminated cypress for a counter top

Very nice @jsker ! Threaded rod or dowels? That cypress lasts forever. My original in-ground pool, built in the 60's, had cypress walls that still looked brand new when the pool was replaced about five years ago.

I also have an old-school folding ruler and they (the young ones), make fun of me.
