I'm in the process of planning out the details of my future 150g (60x24x24) mixed reef build and am trying to figure out how I want to do my lighting.

Originally I was planning on getting a 50" Reefbreeders Photon V2, which as a single unit makes hanging pretty easy and straightforward. Since becoming more active on this site though, I've got really interested in the Noopsyche LEDs. I would need 3 of the Noopsyche units for this tank and unfortunately the tank mounts they come with don't fit on eurobraced tanks. They also don't have any hanging kits made for these lights.

Does anyone have a good solution that they've found for connecting multiple units together for easy hanging? Also if anyone has any feedback on either the Reefbreeders Photon V2 or the Noopsyches it would be welcomed, as I still have not made up my mind between the two.

@DerpFish the most flexible best solution is going to be T-Slot with 3D printed adapters. I am using T-Slot for mine but I found someone that had custom 3D printed adapters and that will be my way in the future.

I don't know who's tank this is but this is a good solution. The possibilities are endless.

T slot for the win. There are so many different ways you can make it work.

T-slot does seem to be the way to go. Those 3D printed adapters look like they would make this as easy as it gets.

I made this light structure for my 180 planted. I used 1"x3" aluminum tube and machined out paths for them for the cables so all the cable run internal to it. Then there is an "L" bracket on the bottom so it hugs the side/rim of the tank.

I’ll take a picture of mine when I get home
.
I have 4 chains hanging from the ceiling attached to each side of my t5 fixture .

Good to hear! Is there anything that you particularly like/dislike about either of them?

The Photon is certainly easier to hang being one stiff fixture. I used it a couple of years over a 75 I took down. I put the Noopsyches on the new 180 in a hybrid fixture. The combined output of the hybrid/Noopsyches is a more pleasing color to me. My Photon did not do white light very well.

that top picture is actually a customer tank @galantra , he sent me the pictures to share on r2r forum. I actually printed the first set of sky mounts for the 15 series for his tank... came out really nice..
