Thinking about getting one but not sure about their specific needs and temperament. Also my tank is only 75gal.

With you already having a melanurus I don't think it would be a good fit. This wrasse gets over 7" in length from what I've read. Their care is not much different from other Halichoeres wrasse, pretty much the same as your existing melanurus.

Better choices with different coloration would be H. chysus (the most under rated of the Halichoeres genus IMO), H. biocellatus and H. iridis. All of those are stunningly colored and contrast somewhat with the melanurus coloring/markings. They are also among the smaller and more mild mannered of the genus.
