I am trying to find out what size silicone tubing to use for this doser. Simplicity sells 4mm ID tubing, but I don't think this fits. I think it is too large.

Does anyone know? My tank/gear is in the office so I can't mess with it right now but was hoping to make some orders this weekend. I haven't set up the doser yet. I emailed Simplicity but just checking if anyone has a quicker answer here.

Also, if anyone is using the Simplicity container, what are you using as a connector to the white rigid tube? Doesn't seem to be the same size as the doser connectors.

Thanks!

Simplicity has some nice gear. I do not have the doser or dosing container, but I looked at the dosing container several times because it is simple and clean (I ended up with the Icecap dosing container because it is similar and was on a very big sale). This is interesting about the connections on the Simplicity container.

Note: I could be hugely mistaken. My tank and gear are at the office, so I'm blindly trying to make weekend purchases--but I don't have tubing of all sizes to trial and error anyway, so would have been nice if all of this was already spelled out somewhere. really love the quality of these products.

JoJo, why are you doubting that the tubbing sold by Simplicity to use for their dosing pump would not be the right size (4mm ID)?

Either way, I think you have some leeway here. I recently got a couple of small 12v dosing pumps that called for 3mm ID tubing. I just used regular 1/4" RO tubing, which should have an ID of about 4mm. No problems. And, my plan to mitigate any leaks if there were any, was to use a zip-tie like a hose clamp, but I found I didn't need to do that.

I have no idea about the reservoir, but I'd be surprised if that connector was any thing other than 3-4mm OD 🤪

Good luck here!

I'm not using the simplicity dozer, I'm using the kamoer but , i can tell you that I had to work it (the 4mm) to get it wrapped around the roller mechanism. Once I did that it worked fine for dosing. Just make sure you lubricate the line and rollers

Thanks! I bought some 4mm ID tubing (same size sold on the Simplicity website) and it didn't fit on the dosing head connectors, not even close, fell right off with no seal, which is strange, because even if the connectors were 2mm/5mm, I would assume it would at least fit somewhat snug... unless the tubing I ordered came in at the wrong size. I'll have to look into it more closely when I get to the office. Probably won't be able to make any purchases this weekend. No real sale on tubing in any case!
