Sorry if this has been asked a thousand times.. I am very confused searching through both websites.

Can you use the standard Apex Controller to control the VorTech MP40QDw or do you have to buy the module as well to connect to the Apex?

In order for the apex to have full control of any MP you'll need the module.

But u can still control the mp while it's plugged into the apex using its controller (not apex). Using the apex module will allow you to have different modes running throughout the day without having to change them manually. It's a nice feature but not needed IMO.

Just a tidbit of info, you might want the reeflink instead..
I got the wxm for my radions then found out acclimation mode, percentages for lightning/clouds, sunrise/sunset mode, and I want to say one other thing that isn't coming to mind all do not work with the wxm.
Then I got a vortech, lowest speed supported is around 10-20%...

All in all, I really wish I would have gotten the reeflink instead of the overpriced wxm. People have been waiting for years for the functionality above. In that time Neptune has released 4 other brand new products, so I don't think they give a crap.

I fail to see how a Vortech limitation has anything to do with a WXM. Neptune can't control the limits on products they do not own.
