Hi. I have an apex jr that needs updating. The unit is too far from my router to run a cable directly to the apex. I currently have it hooked up to a wifi extender. Can i update using the extender or do I have to unhook everything and do the update with the unit hooked directly into the router? Thanks for the help!

Depends on how good your internet is. I run mine through WiFi without an issue. I do have a 2016 brain though so that could contribute.

I also have an apex el on my 120. I also have it hooked up to my wifi extender because I find that it gives me a more reliable connection than through wifi. My main concern is will it be a problem running the update while it is hooked up to the wifi extender.

Direct to Ethernet is best

Neptune recommends no wireless anywhere in the path from your computer to the Apex. You can get a 100 foot Ethernet cable for $20.
