The Apex classic does not have wifi capability. People are using the wifi dongle to make it wifi capable. I did try updating the FW on my apex classic over wifi dongle and it worked too.....

WiFi updating "can" work...the fear is you lose the connection during the update, to the point where the loaded firmware becomes corrupt.
