I’ve had my APEX Fusion running for about two weeks now and this one issue is completely confusing me. my refusion light will randomly turn on in the morning. It just did it again (10am). When I check the settings and then re-upload them it turns itself off.

I’m using the standard outlet for my refugium light And have only modified the time on/off in settings. Everything else is default. I haven’t set up any other controllers that I know that might affect the refugium timer. Any ideas where to look?

What light are you using? Also, is it just plugged in to the EnergyBar? No other controller cords?

Kessil 160, so it doesn’t have any timer controls or an app. Also it’s only plugged into the energy bar no other controller cords

If you look at the Output Log, what are the exact times the refugium light is shown turning on and off each day?

Also, have you confirmed your Apex clock is set to the correct time zone?

Confirmed the time is correct but I just enabled the log after I posted so do not have any history. I’ll wait a day and see what it says, thanks for reply

Do you possibly have a setting on another outlet that states if outlet = on then regugium7 = on?

I have this set for my waterchange virtual outlet. So no matter the time i do a waterchange my light turns on so i can see what's going on down there.

Check to see what else turned on or off at 10AM, see if that coincides with the light in any way.

After looking through all controllers I looked at the power logs. The power consumption for the refugium was three hours shifted from what it should be.

I then checked clock settings again and local time vs Apex time is off by 3 hours. So it is using Apex rather than local.

Now I have to figure out how to get the two synched (the threads I found have a different setup than mine). Thanks for your assistance

This is exactly why I originally asked you if your Apex clock was correct. You need to change the Time Zone field to match your location. Where do you live? After setting the Time Zone field correctly, you need to reboot the Apex for the change to take effect.

Once the Time Zone is set properly, the Apex clock will match the Local clock. The only time these two should appear differently is when you're traveling to a different time zone, then the Fusion app will show you the local time where you are visiting, but the Apex time shows the actual time back at your house. All the programming is executed based on the Apex clock.
