Apex RJ45 Extension

Hey guys,

I need to add a little length to the Kessil control cable that plugs into the apex. Does anyone know if I can buy a standard female to female connector and use a standard cat5 cable? I think this would work, but I wanted to check on here before I actually do it.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't as long as the cable doesn't get long enough that the signal degrades. Worst case it is a waste of a couple bucks on the adapter if amazon, RadioShack or wherever won't let you return it.
