so any new feedback on the trident NP ? did the software update seem to help/work?
would you buy one again knowing what you know now and how it works for you?

I was looking at the essentials, and if I didn’t already have the trident, I’d consider the essential.I didn’t buy either trident bc of some of the issues they have. Also I’ve seen people not able to get reagents easily. With that being said I just got my mastertronic essential last Friday and so far it’s been running great.
I have an apex and not having it linked to it isn’t a dealbreaker at all for me. I’m using Red Sea and api for the reagents. They do have their own but I haven’t tried them. I looked at getting the bundle kit of reagents from them but they were out of stock. I compared the results with my hana checker and salifert tests and they were within range of each other.I was looking at the essentials, and if I didn’t already have the trident, I’d consider the essential.I didn’t buy either trident bc of some of the issues they have. What testing reagents are you using? Do they sell their own? I saw some notes referring to 3rd party reagents that could be used, but I didn’t know if that’s your only choice.

So how does that work exactly with 3rd party reagents? Are you just buying their test kits and emptying the dropper bottles into mastertronic files that it pulls from and adds to the test automatically?I have an apex and not having it linked to it isn’t a dealbreaker at all for me.
