Aptasia question

This morning when I checked my new tank I noticed a small aptasia on a piece of live rock I removed that piece of rock and now I'm not sure what to do. I'm thinking about boiling the whole rock just to make sure everything dies on it is this a good idea?

What works best for me and this is only if the aptasia is in a spot where it can fully retract into a hole is to cover it with superglue gel while it's retracted.

I usually use a Majano wand but since you don't have one of those you could use Aiptasia-X or one of my other methods, which is taking the rock out and using a propane torch from a hardware store to torch just that one spot. That way all of your other critters on and in the rock are still ok.

I'm not to worried about killing everything on this one piece of rock so would boiling it work

I'm also thinking of mixing bleach with tap water and letting it soak for a while and then rinsing and scrubbing the rock which do you all think is a better idea?

Just hit it with aiptasia-x or super glue. If that doesn't work, peppermint shrimp are pretty cheap :)

I've never been a fan of nuking a whole rock for such a minor infestation.

Do not boil the rock! There could be a zoa of some sort on or in the rock. Just set in bleach water for a day or so. Then rinse water for a day and let dry for a week or so. Should take care of it.

Heat 2 92-94 and it should pop off and float in the water.

I got Berghia Nudis and it solved the problem.

Thanks for the tips guy I have it soaking in bleach water right now
