Did they at least ash or squeal or burst into flames?

It's funny you mention the squealing part because I actually believe these critters do communicate to each other in the tank when I enter the water with my death spear. I talked about this in another thread but after I whack a couple, the others in the tank close up in defensive mode so I believe they do hear an agonizing squeal as I pierce them with my trusty razor sharp poison tipped spear.

That’s very interesting. There must be some sort of communication whether through sound or chemical production. Even the pests are interesting in a reef tank.

I had one in my tank and threw away the rock. Dodged a bullet lol

So true, I thought the same thing. I do wonder if it is sound or some type of chemical signal they give off indicating distress.

I am proud to announce I have my first aiptasia! Got the bryopsis all cleaned up (thank you lettuce nudi) and found the little booger. His name is George. So glad to finally be part of the club!
