Aqua illumination or maxspect razor?

I'm upgrading to a 75 gallon. I was finally decided on aqua illumination when the maxspect razoepr swept me off my feet . Any ideas help if you have experience or ideas with any fixture give me ideas.rightknow I'm favoring the maxspect razor please help.

I would go with the ai vega. Just installed 8 on a customers tank and they are insane. Im not an led person as everything here at the store is t5 and halides. I know what i get out of the 2 as there is proven history in the 2. I feel with led the market is changing way to fast and no long term data is out there, for instance do you know anyone running the pfo solarace or gen 1 sols still lol lol. They all have switched to the next and newest versions on the market. Just like phones, yes i got the new iphone 5 yesterday and only had the 4s for less than 3 months. But what can be done with the vega as far as controllability is insane.

power supply on vega controller is junk-- lots of complaints-- but they replace them

I had a Sol Nano over BC29 and liked it. Got over the thunderstorms and all the controller set points after 1 week though. Have not seen new VEGA in person yet. Sure it is a very capable and nice fixture though. For the value, went with one Razor 160W 16k over new 100g 48x24x20 and have it hanging 10" off waterline. Coverage is very good for just one unit. Color is amazing. Like the point that jaypainter24 made above, LED tech will continue to advance rapidly over the next few years. I decided to be conservative on my budget and go with the RAZOR and could not be happier.

Thanks for the info I really don't want to wait any longer since I need a light for my 75 im upgradeing to. And the output is way to expensive for metal high lide the LEDs will equal my current wattage of t5 hos . Can you post a video of the razor on your tank and also I have a 8in canopy so that is also a factor. Which color fixture looks the most like t5s I'm not familier with k.mthank you I'm just writing fast befor I go to bed I'll have more to ask when I get home tomorow. Thank you

well got my razor r420r 160w put it side by side with my apollo dimmable and on my frag tank, bought this for a zoanthid tank and man everything pops an improvement and this thing is thin



before and after is like night and day

the warm whites i wish i could turn off to just see how much difference they make.

Do you think it could cover a 75 gallon and I don't need sps everywhere since it a mixed reef

No 1 will not do it I ran it over my frag tank, which is a 120 cutdown, u would have dark spots on outsides. Also middle cluster would hit centet brace

The center I'm not worked about I can replace it with clear acrylic but what do you ,mean will it be clearly noticeable? What do you recommend and can you post some picks of it?
