Aquabiomics contact info?

Does anyone know if there are any other ways to contact Aquabiomics? The only contact info I found was this email address , [email protected], on their contact us page. I sent them an email with some questions about the results of an eDNA test I purchased from them but have been unable to get ahold of them. It has been a little over three weeks since I sent the initial email, and have since sent multiple follow up emails hoping to catch their attention but still no response. They advertise 2 business days for a reply on their contact page so this seems odd to have to wait this long. Is their email system broken? Are yall okay?

Sorry - I can't help you, I just emailed them today with a question about sample preservation.

I do know that they get overwhelmed with questions about advice regarding their reports. I think that is beyond the scope of their work, but you can post the results here and see if people can help you decipher the results.

Thanks Jay. I hope they eventually respond to both of us. My questions were geared more towards ways to decrease the number of false positive and false negatives in the report so I figured it was best to just ask them first. I enjoy observing my aquarium looking around for all its inhabitants so I have a decent idea on what organisms are living in there. One of my main concerns was that a lot of organisms that seem to be pretty abundant in my aquarium did not even show up on the report so I was wondering if there was something I could have done better during sample collection or if there is some issue detecting certain dna on their end. I suspect some of the false positive were coming from outside sources, most likely form coral food, but some that showed up on the report seemed to be a pretty large percentage of the sample instead of just some residual dna floating around from leftover food.

Ah, those are some good questions, you're correct, they will need to answer them. I hadn't thought about eDNA from food inputs!

I'm skeptical of Aquabiomics based on the fact that they sell tiny amounts of rock rubble for a fortune stating it'll increase biodiversity...clearly they must know that biofilms and surface associated bacteria compete and a tiny population of a certain bacterial strain would be very unlikely to stand a chance against the many other strains. Biofilms don't always just merge like friends either...
