So I am putting my new skimmer together and I can’t get one of the sections to fit right . Has anyone else had this problem .
This section with the rubber hose will not close all the way because this pipe won’t go down further

I’ve pulled everything apart to make sure that the pieces are snug. I’m really hoping I don’t have to trim tubing right out of the box.

Yea I've watched that video about 20 times to see if I missed something ... But I can't figure it out .... Its like the pipe is 1/4 inch too tall
Try pulling it out and putting the attachments in hot water and then try to push it down a little further I remember I had a little trouble trying to get it pushed in deep enough without breaking it but it slowly moved in deep enough

I have 3 of these and they all fit tightly.
Maybe try loosening the black screw?
Maybe that is blocking it or try what they said above since it seemed to work for them.

Does that look right ? I’ve never used a skimmer
The water went all the way up to the white tube almost immediately

Looks fine to me. There might be a break in period, but the emergency drain will take care of that. My only comment would be that with your output, the arm is tilted up a few degrees. As such, the resistance on the output will be greater than if it were neutral or pointed down- if you adjust it, you might see that the overall water level in the right compartment lowers a bit.

Try moving the yellow hose to the same place as the power cord so the white overflow pipe will sit perfectly in the drainage hole. The skimmer will be going nuts and creating bubbles for the first week till it breaks in looks like you got the bubble tip so it will help with that but yeah looks good. It shouldn’t rapidly shoot water up mainly only bubble up skimmmate slowly and gradually but yeah then again when I first had mine running it was going nuts till after a week it calmed down.

Fixed the arm - I had a cord wedges behind the skimmer lol
I moved the drain and the intake tubes into separate holes To help the emergency tube have more space.

last question - the 4 little air holes on top of the skimmer cup splatters out bubble/water here and there ... so I just not worry about that or should I put a paper towel on it ?

The bubbles keep pushing the lid around lol
Nice! Looks goood!! As for the air bubbles from reviews I read that is common until the break in period is over which can be 2-4 weeks to help this make sure you have the collection up sitting as high as possible to reduce that problem and then gradually lower the collection cup after the break in period:)
