i like those guys... but if youre going to get them to do the aquascaping... just ask them to doublecheck that it will actually sink to the bottom :) if you watch the show... then you know what im talking about.

Yeah, that seems to be the issue. I liked the way it was, but you can never seem to get it back that way. I want to add more rock anyways, to add some height to the back, but that means literally starting all over. And at this point, I am just not willing to do that. The rock is just sitting the garage waiting on me.....

I really liked it the way it was, but I do get bored fairly quickly. Things had been in place long enough to grow and look 'natural'. Oh well, I'll attack it again tomorrow, and see what happens

That stinks man:( Been there done that!! When your scaping if you start getting mad just walk away for a few min and go back, will keep you from doing something you might regret in the tank.. GL

He's right, I tried to get mine fixed, up to midnight that night. Got up at 6am the next morning and got it close, so I left it and kept tweeking it till I got it back to where it was. Then I epoxied it into place and it can't move.

I drilled holes through my rock and used fiberglass rods to stack it. Eliminates a lot of issues later on.

I used acrylic rods just drilled each rock with about 30 holes and then when I started stacking them I'd put a rod of clear acrylic to hold steady. A lot more flexibility and u can make cool aquascapes with rocks that don't fit. Got mine from Nashville plastic supply. No more avalanche.

How much trouble was it to drill? Did you use a regular masonry bit? I tried that one time and the rock started to crumble when I drilled.

Drill and acrylic rods here too. I don't remember using any special bit other than masonry, Harry.

+ 3 on the acrylic rods and drilled rock here too. If you need any acrylic rod let me know chris. I have about 8' of 1/4" clear rod.

I might take you up on that offer someday down the road when I upgrade. As of now, everything is okay. I am just a little concerned about starting this process all over again when I move the tank off the wall a few inches.

Not hard to drill the rock just take it really slow. If it's a smaller piece or edge of the rock use a smaller bit the work your way up to the size u need. Plastic coat hangers usually can't hold up to the weight.
