So I haven't really touched my aquascape much since I set it up months ago with live rock and some dry, dead rock I got from a local reefer. This is my 20 gallon high. Not gonna lie, it seems kind of bland to me atm, pribably because the scape is so low. The tank is intended to be an anemone tank (rbta, rock flower, maxi mini, etc) for context.
Any ideas of scapes or structures that I can look into creating to make a more dynamic environment, different lines and zones?

Small systems can be difficult to scape. Maybe a caribsea rock arch would look good. Scapes are personal so you have to find what you like.
Also small systems fill in fast so placement of corals can be a challenge.
This is my 6 month old 15g nano for reference.

beautiful tank! i'm gonna go home and look for the leftover rocks and break em up and see what I can do... Gonna pick up some black plastic corrugated board to cover the back wall. Then, I'm thinking to frag up the gsp on the sand and distribute throughout the bottom of the back glass so that they eventually grow up and cover the back wall. I noticed some of the gsp has crawled its way onto the edge of the rock structure too.

I say try to make a cave and or an overhang.
However, you have to be in love with your design. So Dry fit all kinds of scapes you make, don’t forget to take pics so you can go back to one you previously made. I can’t wait to see what you make though. Aquascaping is so much fun!

Thank you! My main concern is how i'm going to work with the current scape. I'm scared to make a huge mess or possibly hurt the clam (and the BTA that decided to call the clam its throne lol).

I wouldn’t be to concerned with the clam as it will move and find a new spot if it doesn’t like the new one. Are those bottom rocks on your current scape shelf’s or flats?

This is what I have so far. The added rocks are pretty stable from what I can see but I most likely will add crazy glue to make them that much more solid if this is the scape I go with.
The large flat rock on the bottom right is a large shelf like piece which creates a cave at sandbed level and is where the firefish resides atm.

Edited scape since the previous layout was blocking an encrusted coral from light

Just a thought. You can add another rock to these 2 to make like an arch or shelf for SPS or LPs that require higher lights

That is true! My goal for this tank was to be an anemone dominant tank, but an arch of some kind would still look pretty neat imo.

What a beautiful tank!
Just went to petco, the employee there didn't know much about saltwater. Ended up going home with an emerald crab and a maxi mini carpet nem for 25 bucks. 😗
