Hello,

I recently got a deal on a aquatlantis aquaview 130. This is going to be an upgrade from my 72 gallon bowlfront in my basement, it’s going into the living room so it needs to be silent.

Here are some of my concerns with the tank:

The return pump plumbing looks to be 1/4 inch, kinda small in my opinion but easy enough to change if needed. Thought?

The tank has a herbie overflow but the emergency drain is around 1/4 higher than the main drain. I have no experience with this type of overflow but doing some research it should be 6 inches below. Should I lower it?
Edit: I see why it is so high now. Overflow does not have inner part that stops the water level from dropping to much.

The sump has no place for filter socks or floss, just some weird baffle which I can’t figure out a use for. The tank did come with a adapter piece that goes onto the drain and the 4 inch filter sock. I have klir di 7 with stand that I can cut to fit if I don’t find any better solutions. Don’t think I want to risk removing the baffle.

Tank came like this from the company who makes it. Bad design?

Some help would be appreciated
