I just read that coral crabs and emerald crabs are good for addressing Vermetid infestation.

Are coral crabs and emerald crabs two different creatures? The article I read sounded like "coral crabs" is an umbrella term and that emerald crabs are an example of coral crabs.

Yes,
i think the common soulution is Bumblebee snails.
I know some fish are good predators, but, I'd rather not go that route as the tank has some aggressive fish and new additions haven't faired well.

There is no guarantee. Some people report some progress with bumbles, others do not. What worked for me was no more reef roids or powdered foods. Used frozen food and feed it a little at a time so fish got to it before the tank became a snow globe. I would also break as many as i could when my hands were in the tank. I went from hundreds to hardly any within 4-6 weeks.
