Hi so I am wondering if magician zoa would be palythoa or zoanthus also I have mixed things on the toxicity of zoanthus. Are zoanthus containing high levels of palytoxin or no

Obviously exercise the caution that is right for you. However, in my experience and reading the stories of those who had issues. If you do silly things. You will be fine. The people that got ill scrubbed them, boiled them, I believe licked them probably didn't exercise enough caution.

You don’t have to be super careful with anything but the nasty trash wild palys or paly grandis. I constantly have cuts all over my hands when fragging my Zoa and haven’t had a bad reaction. The only thing that spooks me are my paly grandis. I don’t mess with those dudes without gloves. But basically anything bright and colorful isn’t going to do any damage to you. Most of it is tank raised and hardly has any, most have none, palytoxin. Nasty trash ones like these dudes are the dangerous ones: and even then only if you try to boil them off a rock
