Are they breeding/ laying eggs?

I recently put a bonded pair of darwins in my tank. They are hosting a RBTA. At first they would both be in the anemone. I noticed once or twice the male shaking at the female. Over the last two days, one of them will just hang out outside the anemone about 5-8 inches away while the other is hosting. The one outside doesn't swim around and just watches over the other one in the anemone. I haven't noticed this one attacking anyone that swims around. At night they will both go inside the anemone to sleep. Is this part of the breeding behavior?

Sounds like normal bonding, dominance behavior.

They won't breed until their around pretty large. What size are they? Photo? Odds are it's not breeding. They require much time in a system before they're comfy enough to reproduce. As was said, sounds like dom/sub behavior.

Yep, usually it's the larger of the two (what is or what will become female) establishing dominance, the sub or male will be allowed more into the nem later, so still a bonded pair just working things out still.
I agree it takes a while, like at earliest age of being able to buy them, takes about a year and a half or so normally, but a mature mated pair can spawn even new to a tank, but usually even that takes an adjustment period of some kind.
